Christ Church Anglican Memorial Windows

Meaford’s Christ Church Anglican is home to one of the most original and beautiful World War II memorials in the world. Six stained glass windows are made up of some of the oldest (up to 700 years) and finest stained glass in North America with pieces of coloured glass from 125 English and Welsh bombed churches as well as some from Ireland, France, Belgium and Holland. The Memorial Windows continue to be a popular tourist stop and the church is open for viewing during the following times: July and August (Tuesday-Friday afternoons from 2:00 pm-4:00 pm, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings from 10:00 am-12:00 pm). From January-June and September-December, they are open Thursday and Friday mornings from 10:00 am-12:00 pm.
